Arc Card is a service that allows visitors to personalise their museum and gallery visits.
The system works by using NFC chips found in the Arc Card cards and the Arc Card app. Visitors walk around the spaces as normal but if they find an exhibit or artefact that they want to save for later, they simply tap their card or phone to store the work in their own archived data base. Visitors are encouraged to be more engaged with exhibition spaces and can research saved works for more exploration through the app later.
As well as having their visit stored online it will be possible to view the visit at an Arc Card station. Here a visitor will see a visualisation of their time in the museum or gallery space and also have the option to print a personalised booklet containing a breakdown from the visit.
