In this collaboration with illustrator Sean O’Brien we explored how form could impact character. We began manipulating the properties of mundane everyday objects and exploiting their characteristics to produce interesting characters.

After exploring the possibilities mundane objects offered us, we began to appreciate everyday things a lot more. We then went on to produce an animation that put the focus back on the everyday things that can get overlooked in our eternal quest for the next best digital thing.

A poster for the animated short was also produced using the type face that I produced for Sean. The typeface was created after seeing how much time an illustrator could spend hand writing letters. A typeface speeds up this process.
